What activities are available for children during half term in Winchester?

(Visitwinchester.co.uk) | We have decided to investigate the availabitilty of activities during half term for children in Winchester. Because we are training to become Primary School teachers we thought that it would be interesting to find out what is available for children to do during the holidays and the cost of doing so.
After researching the various activities available in Winchester, we have discovered that while there are a large variety of activities available, the majority of these are, in fact, available all year round; there are few put on specifically for the half term week. Regardless, our survey of Winchester residents proved that most seem satisfied with the activities offered – it is possible that parents do not take advantage of these activities during term time anyway.
Unfortunately, time constraints meant that we were unable to investigate potential half term activities further afield. Such locations as Marwell Zoo, Paulton’s Park and Longleat are all popular destinations and likely to put on enjoyable activities for children of all ages.
